Memorial Day

It's an overcast Memorial Day - perfect to photograph flowers. The Kousa dogwood in our backyard is in glorious bloom. The flowers are very unassuming. They're just little petals in beautiful creamy white with a subtle yellow center.

For those who are interested, this photo was taken at 70mm, ISO 200, f2.8 at 1/1600 sec. I had a 500D Canon close-up lens attached to the front of my 28-70 lens.
