Positano, Italy has been photographed so many times and it's difficult to get a shot that's different than the rest. The winds were heavy the day we visited Positano, so the boats were all on the beach, which gave me the unique shot I was looking for.
We had the beach to ourselves, except for a cute black dog. I was taking this shot when I felt something tug at my coat. It was the pup - going after a couple of dog treats buried in my pocket. If one has dogs, of course there are always treats in pockets, even when visiting Europe!
This is one of those photos where I was in the right place at the right time with my camera in hand. It was at the end of a long, cold, blustery, wet March day in Rome and all I wanted to do was to get back to the warmth of my room. We turned the corner to our hotel and this scene appeared. I seriously didn't want to stop - I was so cold and tired. My husband's better sense prevailed and I spent some time photographing this bicycle. It turned out to be my favorite shot from the vacation. This photo has been accepted for exhibition several times.
